تَهَلَّلَ منّا البَرُّ والبَحْرُ ذو المَوْجِ

Did you behold us, youths like shooting stars and the sun?

Did you see us like shooting stars and suns, young men,

The land and the sea with its waves rejoiced because of us.

From us, the land and the sea of waves rejoiced,

رَحَلْنا عنِ الأوجِ الرّفيعِ مَحَلُّهُ

رَحَلْنا عنِ الأوجِ الرّفيعِ مَحَلُّهُ

مَراحِلَ شتّى ثمّ عُدْنا الى الأوْجِ

مَراحِلَ شتّى ثمّ عُدْنا الى الأوْجِ

We departed from the zenith, whose station is lofty,

We departed from the highest summit, its place,

through varied stages, then returned to the zenith.
