بلدٌa town يحُفُّencircle بهِaround it الرّياضُthe gardens كأنهُas though it were
بلدٌ يحُفُّ بهِ الرّياضُ كأنهُ
وجْهٌa face جَميلٌbeautiful والرّياضُand the gardens عِذارُهُthe down upon its cheeks
وجْهٌ جَميلٌ والرّياضُ عِذارُهُ
A town encircled by gardens, as though it were
A beautiful face, the gardens the down upon its cheeks.
وكأنّماand as though واديهِits river معْصَمُthe wrist of غادَةٍa graceful maiden
وكأنّما واديهِ معْصَمُ غادَةٍ
ومنَand from الجُسورِthe bridges المُحْكَماتِfirmly built سِوارُهُits bracelet
ومنَ الجُسورِ المُحْكَماتِ سِوارُهُ
And its river seems a graceful maiden’s wrist,
And its bracelet is made of firmly built bridges.
