O, tell our loved ones; O, tell the neighbors.

O tell our loved ones, O tell our neighbors

O, tell our chosen ones from among all people:

O tell our best of all people

أنتم وسائلنا أنتم مقاصدنا

أنتم وسائلنا أنتم مقاصدنا

أنتم ذخائرنا للبؤس والباس

أنتم ذخائرنا للبؤس والباس

You are our means of approach; you are our aims.

You are our means, you are our purposes

You are our treasures for hardship and strife.

You are our treasures for misery and affliction

لا أوحش اللَه منكم يا أحبتنا

لا أوحش اللَه منكم يا أحبتنا

فإنكم أنسنا منوا بإيناس

فإنكم أنسنا منوا بإيناس

May God never leave us bereft of you, O our loved ones.

May Allah not deprive us of you, O our beloved ones

For you are our solace; favor us with companionship.

For you are our joy, be gentle with us

إذا ذكرناكم نارت سرائرنا

إذا ذكرناكم نارت سرائرنا

ونفس الصدر من هم ووسواس

ونفس الصدر من هم ووسواس

When we remember you, our innermost hearts shine,

When we remember you, our hearts glow

And the breast is relieved of worry and whispered doubts.

And the soul is freed from worries and obsessions

وأزعج النفس عن أوطان غفلتها

وأزعج النفس عن أوطان غفلتها

والقلب يخنس عنه شر خناس

والقلب يخنس عنه شر خناس

And the self is roused from the abodes of its heedlessness,

And the self is distracted from the lands of its heedlessness

And the slinking whisperer's evil retreats from the heart.

And the heart recoils from the evil of a creeping sneak

ويدنو لملك الميمون يلهمه

ويدنو لملك الميمون يلهمه

خواطر الخير والمرؤوس كالراس

خواطر الخير والمرؤوس كالراس

And it draws near to the blessed angel, who inspires it

And it approaches the kingdom of favor, inspiring it

With thoughts of goodness; and the subordinate is like the head.

With good thoughts, and the ruled is like the head

وتصعد الروح ترقى نحو معهدها

وتصعد الروح ترقى نحو معهدها

من عالم الأمر في روح وأنفاس

من عالم الأمر في روح وأنفاس

And the spirit ascends, rising toward its former abode,

And the soul ascends, rising toward its institute

In the realm of the Command, amid repose and breaths,

From the world of command into spirit and breath

كمثل حالتها من قبل مهبطها

كمثل حالتها من قبل مهبطها

بهيكل الجسم في حس وإخراس

بهيكل الجسم في حس وإخراس

As it was before its descent

Like its state before its descent

Into the body's frame, amid sensation and muteness.

Into the body's temple, in senses and muteness

للَه للَه مسعود بوادره

للَه للَه مسعود بوادره

من حضرة القدس لا بالغافل الناسي

من حضرة القدس لا بالغافل الناسي

By God, by God, fortunate is he whose promptings

To Allah, to Allah, fortunate are its early signs

Come from the Holy Presence—not the heedless, forgetful one.

From the Presence of Holiness, not with the heedless forgetful ones

ومستقيم على الأوراد يعملها

ومستقيم على الأوراد يعملها

لربه مخلصاً يبني على ساس

لربه مخلصاً يبني على ساس

And one steadfast in the litanies, performing them

And straightforward in his ritual devotions

For his Lord in sincerity, building upon a foundation.

Sincerely working for his Lord on a foundation

ومتق ورع عن كل مشتبه

ومتق ورع عن كل مشتبه

بعد الحرام على منهاج أكياس

بعد الحرام على منهاج أكياس

And one God-fearing and scrupulous, shunning every doubtful thing,

And pious, refraining from all doubtful things

After shunning the forbidden, on the path of the discerning.

After the unlawful, upon the way of the wise

والزهد في هذه الدار الغرور هو ال

والزهد في هذه الدار الغرور هو ال

ملاك للخير فاشرب منه بالكاس

ملاك للخير فاشرب منه بالكاس

And renunciation in this abode of delusion is the

And asceticism in this world of delusion, it is what

key to goodness; so drink of it from the cup.

Brings happiness, so drink it in cups

ثم الصلاة على الهادي وعترته

ثم الصلاة على الهادي وعترته

البيت المطهر عن رجس وأدناس

البيت المطهر عن رجس وأدناس

Then blessings upon the Guide and his family,

Then prayer upon the Guide and his family

The Household purified of defilement and impurities.

The pure House, free of filth and impurities
