Who can bear deliberately forgetting his beloved?

to eulogize him while he lives, through their reproaches.

Or is not one who dyes his white hair to disguise it

like one slain among interlocked spears and stained with their blood?

his back's frailty suffices when he is put to the test.

donning gray hair goads him into love's delirium.

one who finds anguish sweet in his torment.

in the shade of its swaying great trees and tender growth,
