أوْ ذاعَ حُبّي فأنْتَ مُوجبُهُ
If my heart is lost, then where shall I seek it?
If my heart is lost, where shall I seek it?
Or if my love becomes known, you are its cause.
Or if my love is spread, you are the cause.

And whose drink comes from the pure, sweet water of tears.
And whose drink is from the spring of tears.

While my eye keeps watch on al-Simāk.
While my eyelids watchfully wait for you.
