وَمَنْبَع سِلسالٍ حَبَاهُ بِطِيبِهِ

وَمَنْبَع سِلسالٍ حَبَاهُ بِطِيبِهِ

أغرُّ لغَايَات الأُلَى هُوَ سابِقُ

أغرُّ لغَايَات الأُلَى هُوَ سابِقُ

And a spring of sweet-flowing water, endowed with his sweetness

And a flowing spring He endowed with sweetness

By a radiant man who outstrips the foremost toward their goals.

For the yearnings of lovers it's outpacing

تَلاقَى انْهِلالٌ مِنْهُمَا وتَهَلل

تَلاقَى انْهِلالٌ مِنْهُمَا وتَهَلل

فَيَا قُرْبَ ما لاحَ العُذَيْب وبَارِقُ

فَيَا قُرْبَ ما لاحَ العُذَيْب وبَارِقُ

From the two, an outpouring and a beaming smile came together.

A confluence of both does cascade and exult

So how near al-ʿUdhayb and Bāriq appeared!

So behold how Al-Udhayb gleams and lightnings
