Take heed, you who stand beside me at my grave:

Ask the graves about the vicissitudes of the nights,

And about my state; if they are at a loss for an answer,

Then their lesson will answer the question.

If indeed the enemy gloats over us, let him wait:

He will be carried to the grave slabs, just as I was.

And what cause for gloating is there in leaving this world

For one with hopes who has seen me depart from it?

And I once dwelt among the people in it,

Then I journeyed to the Guardian, Possessor of Majesty.
