ومثلُكَand one like you منone who يُسديbestows الندىbounty حينwhen يُحمدُhe is praised
O Ahmad, in your abode I have kept praising you;
Do I continue praising you in my poems, Ahmad?
and one like you bestows bounty when praised,
One like you who offers guidance when praised,
ولاand not سيماthe like (together: especially) والقوالُand the saying (uncertain reading) منكَfrom you مُصَرَّحُexplicitly stated
بذلكabout that فيin بَيتa verse منof الشعرpoetry يُنشَدُis recited
especially since your saying is explicitly stated
Especially since you have clearly stated
about this, in a verse of poetry that is recited:
In a verse of poetry that is recited,
إذاif كنتَyou are فيin ضيقٍdistress وغَمٍّand sorrow وكُربةٍand anguish
فنادِthen call أياO زَروقُZarruq يأتيكَhe comes to you أحمَدُAhmad
If you are in distress, sorrow, and anguish,
If you are in distress, sorrow and hardship,
then call, 'O Zarruq!'—Ahmad will come to you.
Call out, O Zarouq, Ahmad will come to you.
فهاso here نحنُwe وفدَdelegation اللَهِGod زُوّارَvisitors بيتهِHis House

So here we are, God's delegation, visitors to His House,
To the good land when Muhammad calls to it,
and to Taybah, to which Muhammad calls.
Peace and blessings of God be upon him,
عليهupon him صلاةblessing اللَهGod ثمَّthen سلامُهُHis peace
ورِضوانهُand His good pleasure ماas long as لاحَshone فيin الأفقِthe horizon فَرقَدُFarqad
Upon him be God's blessing, then His peace,
And His approval for as long as stars shine in the sky.
and His good pleasure, as long as Farqad shines on the horizon.
So make our visit soon by asking our Lord,
فعَجّلso hasten قراناour guest-fare بالسؤالby supplication لرَبّناto our Lord
ليَبلُغَso that it may reach منfrom كلِّeach لدىbefore الربthe Lord مقصدa wish
So hasten our guest-fare by petitioning our Lord,
To fulfill every goal for each with the Lord.
so that each one's wish may reach the Lord,
And succeed in that state with an argument for it,
ونَظفَرُand we attain فيin ذاكthat المقامthe station بحَجّةٍwith a pilgrimage لهاit has
حُجّةٌa proof فيin البرِّrighteousness ليستis not تُفَنّدُrefuted
and we may attain, at that station, a pilgrimage with
An argument in righteousness that cannot be refuted.
a proof of righteousness that cannot be refuted.

And in the Chosen One's garden we spend the morning; whenever
We go out, our love for return and return is Ahmad.
we leave, we yearn to return—and returning is more praiseworthy.
