وسألتُ الإلهَ مولايَ أن يَخ

وسألتُ الإلهَ مولايَ أن يَخ

لُفَني في جميع أهلي ومالي

لُفَني في جميع أهلي ومالي

And I asked God, my Lord, to take

I asked my Lord, my Master, to protect

my place in caring for all my family and my wealth.

Me in all my family and possessions

فهوَ أرحمُ جل مِنّي بهم

فهوَ أرحمُ جل مِنّي بهم

وهوَ يُنيلُني غايةَ الآمالِ

وهوَ يُنيلُني غايةَ الآمالِ

For He—exalted is He—is more merciful to them than I am,

For He is more merciful to them than I

and He grants me the fulfillment of my hopes.

And He will grant me the height of hopes
