Youth has departed, and with it revelry and joy;
Youth has departed, with its merriment and joy.
gray age has come, and with it care and sorrow.
And gray hair has come, with its worry and sorrow.
فَعُدِّso leave behind ذِكرَremembrance الصِباyouth وَاِهجُرand forsake لَذاذَتَهُits pleasure
فَعُدِّ ذِكرَ الصِبا وَاِهجُر لَذاذَتَهُ

So recount the days of youth, but forsake their pleasures—
So leave behind the memory of youth, and forsake its pleasures.
alas for white hair overshadowed by reproach!
Oh, the shame of white hair with a goblet above it!
