There is no one in the dwellings, should you ask.

Yet once there was passion in them, and affection.

In days when I frolicked in the season of youth,

I ran toward pleasure and was not held back.

And time's charm was never effaced,

In ages whose days were fresh.

Glory amid time's calamity, in pursuit

Of pleasure, until it tossed me up and down.

In heedlessness that no care knew,

So I began to jest with time, while it was in earnest.
