لَقَد لَطَفَ الرَحمَنُ بِاِبنَةِ قاسِمٍ

لَقَد لَطَفَ الرَحمَنُ بِاِبنَةِ قاسِمٍ

وَدافَعَ عَنها بِالجَميلِ مِنَ الصُنعِ

وَدافَعَ عَنها بِالجَميلِ مِنَ الصُنعِ

The All-Merciful has indeed shown kindness to Qasim’s daughter,

The Merciful has been kind to the daughter of Qasim

And protected her with gracious deeds.

And has defended her with the beautiful deed

وَكانَ مِنَ الأَمرِ الَّذي كانَ فَاِنقَضى

وَكانَ مِنَ الأَمرِ الَّذي كانَ فَاِنقَضى

وَرَدُّ قَضيبُ النَبعِ في مَغرَسِ النَبعِ

وَرَدُّ قَضيبُ النَبعِ في مَغرَسِ النَبعِ

And the affair was what it was, then came to an end,

And the matter which had happened is now over

And the nabʿ bough was returned to the nabʿ tree’s planting-place.

And the staff of the spring has returned to the planting of the spring
