O my reproacher, how often you reproach me—may God curse you!

Give me over to a full moon upon a branch of the bān tree.

He passed by me, walking in a safflower-dyed robe,

One evening, and gave me drink, then greeted me.

And he said, “Will you play junnāb?” So I said to him:

“Whoever is earnest about union does not play at estrangement.”
