ياO قَرمَطِيّونَQarmatians هَلّاwhy not قامَhe rose قَبلَكُمُbefore you
يا قَرمَطِيّونَ هَلّا قامَ قَبلَكُمُ
كَمِثلِjust like ماhow قامَhe rose قَبلَbefore البَعثِthe Resurrection أَوor تُرِكاhe was left
كَمِثلِ ما قامَ قَبلَ البَعثِ أَو تُرِكا
O Qarmatians, why did he not rise before you,
O Karmathians, why has no one like him arisen among you
just as he rose before the Resurrection, or was left?
Before the arising or after him leaving no trace
أَماdid … not? عَلِمتُمyou knew بِأَنَّof the fact that اللَهَGod أَطلَقَهُset him loose
أَما عَلِمتُم بِأَنَّ اللَهَ أَطلَقَهُ
لاdo not تَذكُرواmention بَعدَهُafter him مُلكاًsovereignty وَلاnor مِلكاproperty
لا تَذكُروا بَعدَهُ مُلكاً وَلا مِلكا
Did you not know that God had set him loose?
Do you not know that God has set him free
After him, speak neither of sovereignty nor of property.
After him, speak no more of kingdom or dominion
