أَدامَ المُهَيمِنُ عِزَّ الوَزيرِ

أَدامَ المُهَيمِنُ عِزَّ الوَزيرِ

وَزادَ الحَسودَ عَلَيهِ هَوانا

وَزادَ الحَسودَ عَلَيهِ هَوانا

May the Guardian preserve the minister’s glory,

The Almighty prolonged the honor of the minister,

and deepen the humiliation of the one who envies him,

And increased the humiliation of the envious.

وَعَرَّفَهُ يُمنَ شَهرِ الصِيامِ

وَعَرَّفَهُ يُمنَ شَهرِ الصِيامِ

وَأَعطاهُ مِن كُلِّ سوءٍ أَمانا

وَأَعطاهُ مِن كُلِّ سوءٍ أَمانا

and acquaint him with the blessings of the month of fasting,

He made known to him the blessings of the fasting month,

and grant him safety from every harm.

And gave him safety from all evil.

أَيا جابِرَ المُلكِ مِن كَسرِهِ

أَيا جابِرَ المُلكِ مِن كَسرِهِ

وَيا مُظهِرَ الحَقِّ حَتّى اِستَبانا

وَيا مُظهِرَ الحَقِّ حَتّى اِستَبانا

O you who restore the kingdom from its brokenness,

O He who restored the fallen kingdom,

and O you who reveal the truth until it becomes clear,

And manifested the truth until it became clear.

وَيا مَن أَلوذُ بِأَركانِهِ

وَيا مَن أَلوذُ بِأَركانِهِ

وَأَحمَدُهُ وَأَذُمُّ الزَمانا

وَأَحمَدُهُ وَأَذُمُّ الزَمانا

and O you at whose pillars I take refuge,

O He in whose pillars I take refuge,

and whom I praise while I blame Time.

Whom I praise, though time be difficult.

جَمَعتَ الَّذي دَرَّقَ العاذِلو

جَمَعتَ الَّذي دَرَّقَ العاذِلو

نَ فيكَ وَصَيَّرتَ لِلمُلكِ شانا

نَ فيكَ وَصَيَّرتَ لِلمُلكِ شانا

You gathered what the reproachers concealed

You have united what the slanderers had torn apart,

in you, and gave the kingdom stature.

And established the affairs of the kingdom.

وَما شاءَ رَأيُكَ في الحادِثا

وَما شاءَ رَأيُكَ في الحادِثا

تِ قالَ الإِلَهُ لَهُ كُن فَكانا

تِ قالَ الإِلَهُ لَهُ كُن فَكانا

And whatever your judgment willed concerning events,

Whatever your opinion willed in events,

God said to it, “Be,” and it was.

God said to it "Be!" and so it was.
