إِنّي رُزِقتُ مِنَ الإِخوانِ جَوهَرَةً

إِنّي رُزِقتُ مِنَ الإِخوانِ جَوهَرَةً

ما إِن لَها قيمَةٌ عِندي وَلا ثَمَنُ

ما إِن لَها قيمَةٌ عِندي وَلا ثَمَنُ

Indeed, I have been granted a jewel among friends,

I was gifted a pearl from my brethren

Beyond all valuation or price in my eyes.

It has no value or price to me

فَلَستُ مُعتَذِراً مِن أَن أَشُحَّ بِها

فَلَستُ مُعتَذِراً مِن أَن أَشُحَّ بِها

وَلا يَزالُ لَدَيَّ الدَهرُ يَختَزِنُ

وَلا يَزالُ لَدَيَّ الدَهرُ يَختَزِنُ

So I make no apology for jealously guarding it;

So I have no qualms being stingy with it

And time never ceases to keep it stored with me,

As time passes, it remains stored with me

بِحَيثُ لا يَهتَدي هَجرٌ وَلا مَلَلٌ

بِحَيثُ لا يَهتَدي هَجرٌ وَلا مَلَلٌ

وَلا يَطورُ بِها عَتبٌ وَلا ضَغَنُ

وَلا يَطورُ بِها عَتبٌ وَلا ضَغَنُ

Where neither estrangement nor weariness can find their way,

Such that no estrangement or boredom finds its way

And neither reproach nor rancor circles around it.

No reproach or resentment against it accrues

فَما الخِيانَةُ مِن شَأني وَلا خُلُقي

فَما الخِيانَةُ مِن شَأني وَلا خُلُقي

وَلَيسَ عِندي لَها عَينٌ وَلا أُذُنُ

وَلَيسَ عِندي لَها عَينٌ وَلا أُذُنُ

For betrayal is neither my way nor my nature,

Betrayal is not my nature or morals

And I have neither eye nor ear for it.

To it, I have no eye nor ear
