As though the Pleiades were a howdah atop a she-camel,
Like a howdah on a she-camel is Pleiades,
urged toward the west by a harried camel-driver.
With it a guide urges a restless one westwards,

And they have gleamed so brightly that their radiance seems like
And it shone until it seemed that its brightness
glass vessels with mercury quivering within.
Were in it mercury flasks shaking to and fro.
