And a Christian convert glories in his mustache’s green hue

and the languor of his eyelids and a rose-tinted cheek.

As though his two sideburns were upon a moon, upon

a bough upon a sand mound, its soil moist and dewy.

He smiled when I teased him, and it was as though he

were drawing an emerald veil away from pearls.
