without the army resolving to flee from you.

They even said that his good fortune

was long delayed and proving elusive to him.

they saw your devotion to noble pursuits and generosity,

while the kings of mankind concern themselves with play.

O Lord, do not delay in granting victory, for mankind

has known the excellence of his patience and put it to the test.

so fortunate, bringing what delights and enraptures.

It arrived as a herald of conquests racing one another,

until some almost ride upon others.

And Muharram decreed: you are indeed inviolable,

forever beyond the reach of whatever you do not desire.

So rejoice, and may you live on in blessing,

until you see generations pass within it.
