I sought you, O praised King,
For after God, there is no refuge but you.
None but you is refuge after God.

If glory ever lacks a seeker,
When the mighty is in need,
Then our Nāṣir, the sovereign, will stand forth proudly.
Our protector, the King, rushes to aid.

So take my hand and draw me to you, for you are a boon
Take me by the hand to you, for you are best,
To a bone that Time has broken anew and split.
For a great one broken by time and anguished.
