وبلورة ينهى بها اللحظ ظاهرا

اذا سترته وهى بالستر فاضحه

And a crystal through which the gaze is seemingly checked,

With an ending that reveals the moment outwardly

When it veils it, yet reveals it by that very veiling.

If it covers it, while with covering it exposes

تخال لافراط الصباء بليلة

تخال لافراط الصباء بليلة

وتحسبها من ذاك باللحظ راشحه

وتحسبها من ذاك باللحظ راشحه

You imagine it moist from excessive youthful ardor,

You imagine due to the youth's excess one night

And so, as you look, you think it is sweating.

And you reckon it from that with a glance flowing
