كُنْتُ أَدْعُوكَ فِي مُداواةِ حالِي

كُنْتُ أَدْعُوكَ فِي مُداواةِ حالِي

بِنَداكَ الْفَيّاضِ مِنْ كُلِّ سُقْمِ

بِنَداكَ الْفَيّاضِ مِنْ كُلِّ سُقْمِ

I used to call upon you to cure my plight

I used to call upon you to cure my state

Of every ailment through your overflowing bounty.

With your abundant, healing gifts for all disease

وَقَدِ اعْتَلَّ بَعْدُ جِسْمِي فَما عِنْ

وَقَدِ اعْتَلَّ بَعْدُ جِسْمِي فَما عِنْ

دَ أَيادِيكَ مِنْ مُداواةِ جسْمِي

دَ أَيادِيكَ مِنْ مُداواةِ جسْمِي

And my body has since fallen ill; what have

But now my body has fallen ill, and I find

Your beneficent hands to offer for healing my body?

No cure from your hands for my body

وَإِذا كُنْتَ لِي عَلَى الدَّهْرِ عَوناً

وَإِذا كُنْتَ لِي عَلَى الدَّهْرِ عَوناً

فَمُحالٌ أَنْ يُمْكِنُ الدَّهْرَ ظُلْمِي

فَمُحالٌ أَنْ يُمْكِنُ الدَّهْرَ ظُلْمِي

And if you are my ally against Time,

And if you are my eternal succor against time

Then it is impossible for Time to wrong me.

Then time cannot possibly oppress me
