كأن نارك يا مولاي قلب شج

به الصبابة تعلو حين تشتعل

به الصبابة تعلو حين تشتعل

Your fire, O my lord, is like a grief-stricken heart,

Your fire, O master, is like a blazing heart,

Within which passionate longing rises when it blazes.

Whose flames leap up when enkindled.

ومن أشعتها في الجو ألسنة

ومن أشعتها في الجو ألسنة

تدعو الآله ببقياكم وتبتهل

تدعو الآله ببقياكم وتبتهل

And from its rays come tongues in the air,

And from its rays in the air are tongues

Calling upon God to preserve you, and pleading.

That call upon God for your survival and pray.
