فقلبي به صب ودمعي له صب
My soul be ransom for him who lured my heart to love him.
With my soul, I inclined my heart to love him
So my heart is lovesick for him, and my tears pour forth for him.
So my heart pours for him and my tears pour for him

وإني لمعذور على صبوتي به

And surely I am excused for my longing for him.
And I am excused for my pouring for him
And who fashioned this beauty yet does not yearn?
For who can see such beauty and not pour?
