تبرّع لله العلي جنابه

تبرّع لله العلي جنابه

فأبدع بالأفضال من كل جانب

فأبدع بالأفضال من كل جانب

He of exalted station gave freely for God's sake,

The Exalted One donated his noble self

And so excelled in generosity on every side:

And excelled in beneficence from every side

أجل أولى العليا الهمام محمد

أجل أولى العليا الهمام محمد

ونجل أبي يحيى إمام المناقب

ونجل أبي يحيى إمام المناقب

The noblest of those of lofty rank, the magnanimous Muhammad,

For the sake of the most honorable leader Muhammad

And son of Abu Yahya, an exemplar of noble virtues,

And the son of Abi Yahya, the Imam of merits

بتجديد هذا الجامع الفرد طالبا

بتجديد هذا الجامع الفرد طالبا

رضى الله إن الله خير المطالب

رضى الله إن الله خير المطالب

By restoring this peerless congregational mosque, seeking

By renewing this unique mosque seeking

God's pleasure—indeed, God is the best of all aims—

The pleasure of God; and God is the best sought

ليرغب في المحيا وفي الذكر والهدى

ليرغب في المحيا وفي الذكر والهدى

به الناس والمحيا حياة لراغب

به الناس والمحيا حياة لراغب

So that life, remembrance, and guidance might be sought

That people may incline towards life and remembrance and guidance

By the people through it—and life is life for one who yearns.

Through it, and life with remembrance is life for the aspirer

ويغرب في كسب المحامد والعلا

ويغرب في كسب المحامد والعلا

وناسب فيه الحسن حسن التناسب

وناسب فيه الحسن حسن التناسب

And he excels in earning praise and lofty rank,

And be a stranger to earning praise and ascendancy

And in it, beauty accorded with the beauty of proportion.

And therein excellent goodness suits excellent harmony
