Glad tidings to you, O you of deep-rooted glory, of a blessing—

Glad tidings to you, bearer of deep-rooted glory, of a blessing

it has descended—and glad tidings to every beholder or hearer.

That has arrived—and glad tidings to whoever sees or hears.

فهناء سيدنا يعم خصوصه

كالطيف يسلك كل طرف هاجع

For our master’s happiness embraces all those close to him,

For our lord’s private joy extends to all,

like a dream-vision entering every sleeping eye;

Like a dream-vision entering every sleeping eye.

والناس مشتركون في افراح من

يغشاهم جوداً كجود هامع

يغشاهم جوداً كجود هامع

and all people share in the joys of him

And people share in the joys of one

whose bounty enfolds them like a pouring rain.

Who showers them with bounty like rain pouring down.

وتقارن القمرين في فلك العلا

وتقارن القمرين في فلك العلا

شرف يدل على سرور واقع

شرف يدل على سرور واقع

The conjunction of the two moons in the firmament of eminence

And the conjunction of the two moons in the sphere of eminence

is an honor betokening joy now come to pass.

Is an honor that points to joy fulfilled.

وكذاك تاريخي بدا في جمعه

وكذاك تاريخي بدا في جمعه

And so my chronogram came out, when totaled:

“His union has prospered beneath an auspicious rising star.”

A fine conjunction for him, with an auspicious ascendant.
