In one of these tents is a neighbor,

who regards forsaking and tormenting me as a trade.

How often I called, “O you, have mercy on us!”

For we are neither iron nor stones.

So she covered herself when she heard, and said:

    A neighbor.

Do you not fear your God, O tormented one?

For you have clothed me in the mantle of protection.

Has His forbearance beguiled you, so that you spoke falsely,

and did not ask Him for protection from fire?
