لقد دار هذا الأمر في غير أهله

لقد دار هذا الأمر في غير أهله

فأبصر أمين الله كيف تذود

Indeed, this authority has passed to those who are not its rightful holders.

This matter has taken a wrongful turn,

So look, O trustee of God, how you turn us away.

So watch how the faithful servant of God shields us.

أيدعى خثيم والشريد أمامنا

أيدعى خثيم والشريد أمامنا

ويدعى رباح قبلنا وطرود

ويدعى رباح قبلنا وطرود

Are Khuthaym and al-Sharid summoned ahead of us,

Does Khuthaym and Ash-Shareed claim to lead us,

and are Rabah and Tarud summoned before us?

And does Rabah claim to be before us and drive us away?

فإن كن هذا في الكتاب فهم إذاً

فإن كن هذا في الكتاب فهم إذاً

ملوك بنو حر ونحن عبيد

ملوك بنو حر ونحن عبيد

For if this is in the Book, then they are

If this is decreed in the Book, then they

kings, sons of free men, while we are slaves.

Are free lords and we are slaves.
