الناسُ مِثْلُ حَبابٍ

الناسُ مِثْلُ حَبابٍ

والدَّهْرُ لُجَّةُ ماءِ

والدَّهْرُ لُجَّةُ ماءِ

People are like bubbles,

People are like bubbles

And time is a deep expanse of water;

And time is a stormy sea

فَعَالَمٌ في طُفُوٍّ

فَعَالَمٌ في طُفُوٍّ

وعالَمٌ في انطفاءِ

وعالَمٌ في انطفاءِ

So one multitude floats,

So some are floating

And another fades away.

While others sink and flee
