You impudent, wanton thing.

وجمَّشتني وكانت

وجمَّشتني وكانت

ثيابُ نومي رحيَضه

ثيابُ نومي رحيَضه

And she caressed me, while

You have prodded me when

my nightclothes were drenched;

My nightgown was soiled.

وخلَّفت في ضلوعي

وخلَّفت في ضلوعي

ما في الجفونِ الَمريضه

ما في الجفونِ الَمريضه

and she left within my ribs

And you have left in my ribs

what ailing eyelids hold.

What you left in the eyes of the sick.
