إنّ المِراةَ لا تُرِي

إنّ المِراةَ لا تُرِي

كَ عيُوبَ وجهِكَ في صَداها

كَ عيُوبَ وجهِكَ في صَداها

Indeed, the mirror does not show

A woman does not show you

you the flaws of your face through its tarnish.

The flaws on your face in her image

وكذاكَ نَفسُكَ لا تُرِي

وكذاكَ نَفسُكَ لا تُرِي

كَ عيُوبَ نفسِكَ مَع هَواها

كَ عيُوبَ نفسِكَ مَع هَواها

And likewise, your soul does not show

And so your soul does not show

you the flaws of your soul amid its desires.
