سِ أخي السماح أبي المُظَفَّر

سِ أخي السماح أبي المُظَفَّر

I said to the chief shaykh,

I said to the generous old man,

brother of generosity, Abu al-Muzaffar:

My brother, oh Abu Al-Muzaffar,

ذكِّر معينَ الدين لي

ذكِّر معينَ الدين لي

قالَ المؤنّث لا يذكَّر

قالَ المؤنّث لا يذكَّر

“Remind Muʿin al-Din for me.”

Remind Mu'in al-Din for me,

He said, “The feminine cannot be made masculine.”

He said, "The feminine cannot be made masculine."
