كدحتyou toiled ولكنand yet للذيfor that which أنتَyou تاركٌleaving behind
وَهِمتَand you fell in love ولكنand yet بالَّتِيwith the one who هيshe فَارِكُloathing
You toiled, but for what you will leave behind.
You toiled but for what you have abandoned
And you fell in love, but with one who loathes you.
And you desired but what has forsaken you
كفاكَit suffices you سفاهاًas folly أنthat هُلكَكَyour death قدalready دناhas drawn near
وأنتَand you علىfor دارِthe abode البِلَىdecay متهالكُdesperately eager
It is folly enough for you that your death has drawn near,
It is enough foolishness that your doom is near
While you cling desperately to the abode of decay.
While you are heading to the abode of destruction
كأنَّكَas though you لمdid not تسمَعhear بِلَفحِof the scorching blast جَهَنَّمِHell
وقدand already زَفَرَتit breathed out غَيظاًin rage ونوديَand was called upon مَالِكُMālik
As though you had not heard of Hell’s scorching blast,
As if you never heard Hellfire's blast
Though it has already breathed out in rage, and Mālik has been called upon.
As it roared in anger and Malik called out
