قد قامَ ميلادُ الرسولِ مُبَجَّلاً

قد قامَ ميلادُ الرسولِ مُبَجَّلاً

ومكَرَّماً ومُعظَّمَ الحُرُماتِ

ومكَرَّماً ومُعظَّمَ الحُرُماتِ

The Messenger’s birthday has been observed with reverence,

and honor, its sanctities exalted,

في حَضرةٍ نَصرِيَّة مَتَّت إلى

في حَضرةٍ نَصرِيَّة مَتَّت إلى

ذاك الجنابِ الرَّحبِ صِدقَ متاتِ

ذاك الجنابِ الرَّحبِ صِدقَ متاتِ

in a Nasrid court bound to

that generous presence by a genuine bond.

لِلّه مِنها دارُ مُلكِ شرفت

لِلّه مِنها دارُ مُلكِ شرفت

بأسود غابٍ للذِّمار حُماةِ

بأسود غابٍ للذِّمار حُماةِ

Praise be to God for its royal seat, ennobled

by lions of the forest, guardians of honor.

قاموا بنصر الدين إذ لا ناصر

قاموا بنصر الدين إذ لا ناصر

من بأس أعداء عليه عداة

من بأس أعداء عليه عداة

They rose to defend the faith when it had no defender

against the might of enemies hostile to it.

والكفرُ بَينَ تضافُرٍ وتظاهُرٍ

والكفرُ بَينَ تضافُرٍ وتظاهُرٍ

والدينُ بين تنافُرٍ وشتاتِ

والدينُ بين تنافُرٍ وشتاتِ

Unbelief stood united in cooperation and mutual support,

while the faith lay amid discord and division.

وَجَرَى سَلِيلَهُمُ على منهاجِهِم

وَجَرَى سَلِيلَهُمُ على منهاجِهِم

قُدُماً فَجَلَّى سَابِقُ الغَايَاتِ

قُدُماً فَجَلَّى سَابِقُ الغَايَاتِ

And their descendant raced along their path,

onward, and won the race, foremost at every finish.
