يا سيدي الأعلى الذي فضله

يا سيدي الأعلى الذي فضله

بَلّغني الآمال في كل حال

بَلّغني الآمال في كل حال

O my most exalted lord, whose bounty

My highest Lord whose bounty excels all,

Has enabled me to attain my hopes in every circumstance,

In every state my hopes are borne to me.

ومن له غُرٌّ الأيادي التي

ومن له غُرٌّ الأيادي التي

ثناؤها الزهر مطاب مطال

ثناؤها الزهر مطاب مطال

And you who possess resplendent favors, whose

By hands outstretched whose fame is like pure honey,

Radiant praise is made sweet and prolonged:

Their praise is flower-sweet, ever sought.

لا أبرح الدهر لها شاكراً

لا أبرح الدهر لها شاكراً

رويّة إن ساعدت وارتجال

رويّة إن ساعدت وارتجال

I shall forever remain grateful for them,

I'll never cease to thank them all my days,

With deliberation, if it serves me, and improvisation.

Whether in flowing verse or improvised lines.
