يا سيدي يا نخبةَ الأشرافِ

يا سيدي يا نخبةَ الأشرافِ

والواحدِ المعدودِ بالآلافِ

والواحدِ المعدودِ بالآلافِ

O my lord, O choicest of the nobles,

O my master, O noblest of nobles

and the one reckoned equal to thousands!

And the one counted amongst thousands

سِر في ضمانِ الله محفوفاً بما

سِر في ضمانِ الله محفوفاً بما

تهوى من الإسعادِ والإسعافِ

تهوى من الإسعادِ والإسعافِ

Go under God's protection, surrounded by whatever

Travel safely under God's protection, enveloped in

happiness and help you desire.

All that you desire of happiness and aid

وإذا حَلَلتَ فَحُلَّ حيث تحلهُ

وإذا حَلَلتَ فَحُلَّ حيث تحلهُ

فضلٌ من الرحمنِ بادٍ خافِي

فضلٌ من الرحمنِ بادٍ خافِي

And when you alight, alight where there descends

And if you stay, then stay wherever you wish

grace from the Merciful, manifest and hidden.

A favor from the Merciful, hidden and obscure

قد كنتُ جاركَ استضِيءُ بِغُرَّة

قد كنتُ جاركَ استضِيءُ بِغُرَّة

علويةٍ نبويةِ الأوصافِ

علويةٍ نبويةِ الأوصافِ

Indeed, I was your neighbor, drawing light from a radiant brow,

I was your neighbor, illuminated by the

of Ali's lineage, with prophetic qualities.

Sublime, Prophetic traits

وأرى بوجهِكَ وجهَ أحمدُ طَالِعاً

وأرى بوجهِكَ وجهَ أحمدُ طَالِعاً

كالشمس مَاحِيَة دُجى الأسدافِ

كالشمس مَاحِيَة دُجى الأسدافِ

And in your face I see Ahmad's face rising,

And in your face I see Ahmad's face rising

like the sun, dispelling the gloom of night.

Like the sun, erasing the darkness of shields

لله أي رجاحةٍ وسجاحةٍ

لله أي رجاحةٍ وسجاحةٍ

وسماح أخلاقٍ وعَهدٍ وافِ

وسماح أخلاقٍ وعَهدٍ وافِ

By God, what sound judgment and gentleness,

What excellent balance, glory and generosity

and generosity of character, and a faithfully kept pledge!

And excellent morals, covenant and loyalty

نسبٌ لفاطمةَ البتولِ صُعُودُهُ

نسبٌ لفاطمةَ البتولِ صُعُودُهُ

للمصطفى وكفى ونعمَ الكافِي

للمصطفى وكفى ونعمَ الكافِي

A lineage ascending through Fatimah the Chaste

A lineage ascending to the chaste Fatima

to al-Mustafa—and that suffices; how excellent the one who suffices!

To the Chosen One, and that suffices, the Best Sufficer

لا تنسني من دعوةٍ وشفاعةٍ

لا تنسني من دعوةٍ وشفاعةٍ

قسماً عليكَ بِحُرمَةِ الأسلافِ

قسماً عليكَ بِحُرمَةِ الأسلافِ

Do not forget me in prayer and intercession;

Do not forget me in prayer and intercession

I adjure you by the sanctity of your forebears.

I adjure you by the sanctity of ancestors

أعزز عليَّ بِأن أودع سيداً

أعزز عليَّ بِأن أودع سيداً

ثَبَتَت فضائِلُهُ بغير خلافِ

ثَبَتَت فضائِلُهُ بغير خلافِ

How grievous it is for me to bid farewell to a lord

Honor me by entrusting me to a master

whose virtues are established beyond dispute.

Whose virtues are undisputed

أنا ضيفكم يا آل بيتِ محمَّدٍ

أنا ضيفكم يا آل بيتِ محمَّدٍ

وعلى الكرامِ إجارةُ الأضيافِ

وعلى الكرامِ إجارةُ الأضيافِ

I am your guest, O family of Muhammad's house,

I am your guest, O Family of Muhammad

and the noble are bound to grant protection to their guests.

And honoring guests is the duty of the noble
