    O master, whose deeds

    Have revived the path of his father and forefathers:

    يقضي بأنّك واحدُ الأجواد

    Generosity that overflows upon the land and its people

    Declares you peerless among the generous;

    And valor, whose deadly assaults against the foes

    Are like blades drawn from their sheaths.

    So your lair's protected grounds are a resting place for lions,

    And your right hand's bounty a watering place for those who come to drink.

    Such noble deeds, whose traces are handed down—

    In them you have excelled, outstripping the illustrious.
