حقيق عليّ اليوم تصعيد زفرة

وتصويب دمعٍ فوق خدّي منهلّ

وتصويب دمعٍ فوق خدّي منهلّ

It is fitting for me today to send up a deep sigh,

Today I must truly exhale a sigh

And to let streaming tears fall upon my cheek.

And direct a tear down my cheek to flow
