وبفيض جود يمينك الثجاج

I swear by the light of your radiant brow,

I swear by the light of your shining forehead,

And by the abundant flow of your right hand’s generosity,

And by the abundance of your generous right hand,

وبعز مملكة نصرت بها الهدى

وبعز مملكة نصرت بها الهدى

من بعد طول تخاذل ولجاج

من بعد طول تخاذل ولجاج

And by the might of a kingdom through which you upheld guidance,

And by the glory of the kingdom in which you supported guidance,

After long failure to stand together and stubborn contention,

After a long period of hesitation and stubbornness,

وبسيرة نصرية آثارها

وبسيرة نصرية آثارها

غوت الصريح بها وغيث الراجي

غوت الصريح بها وغيث الراجي

And by Nasrid conduct, whose effects—

And by the victorious conduct whose traces,

[Unclear as written: led the forthright one astray through it], and rain for the hopeful.

Drenched the eloquent and quenched the thirsty,

لنعشت دين الله من عثراته

لنعشت دين الله من عثراته

ونصرت حقّاً صاحب المعراج

ونصرت حقّاً صاحب المعراج

You have indeed raised God’s religion from its stumbles,

You revived the religion of God from its stumbling,

And truly supported him who made the Ascension.

And supported the truth of the owner of the night journey,

عدّلت من عوج السياسة ميلها

عدّلت من عوج السياسة ميلها

حتى استقمت بها على المنهاج

حتى استقمت بها على المنهاج

You straightened the crooked tilt of governance,

You corrected the crookedness of politics,

Until you held a straight course with it along the path.

Until it was set straight upon the clear path.
