أما مداكَ فغايةٌ لم تُلحَقِ

أما مداكَ فغايةٌ لم تُلحَقِ

أعيَت على غُرِّ الجِيادِ السُبَّقِ

أعيَت على غُرِّ الجِيادِ السُبَّقِ

As for your reach, it is a goal never attained,

Your outstretched hand cannot be matched,

Beyond the white-blazed, foremost steeds.

Horses exhausted from racing cannot keep up.

فاشرَح بِسَعدِكَ كُلَّ مَعنىً مُشكِلٍ

فاشرَح بِسَعدِكَ كُلَّ مَعنىً مُشكِلٍ

وافتَح بِسَيفِكَ كُلَّ بابٍ مُغلَقِ

وافتَح بِسَيفِكَ كُلَّ بابٍ مُغلَقِ

So clarify with your good fortune every obscure meaning,

With your fortune, clarify every ambiguous meaning,

And open with your sword every closed door.

With your sword, open every locked door.

واغزُ العِدا واصدَع بعَزمِكَ مُطلعاً

واغزُ العِدا واصدَع بعَزمِكَ مُطلعاً

نورَ الفُتوحِ بمغربٍ ومشرقِ

نورَ الفُتوحِ بمغربٍ ومشرقِ

And assail the foes and proclaim your resolve, bringing forth

March against the enemy, break forth with your resolve,

The light of conquests in west and east.

Bringing the light of victory to West and East.

لِلَّهِ منكَ مَشاهِدٌ مَشهورةٌ

لِلَّهِ منكَ مَشاهِدٌ مَشهورةٌ

عند الإلهِ بِمثلِها لم تُسبَقِ

عند الإلهِ بِمثلِها لم تُسبَقِ

For God you have performed renowned deeds;

For God, you have renowned scenes,

In God's sight, none has surpassed you with their like.

The likes of which were never witnessed by God before.

مثلُ الحفيرِ بها الذي باشَرتَهُ

مثلُ الحفيرِ بها الذي باشَرتَهُ

فِعلَ الرسولِ وَصَحبِهِ في الخَندَقِ

فِعلَ الرسولِ وَصَحبِهِ في الخَندَقِ

Such as the trench there, which you worked on yourself,

Like the ditch you undertook,

As the Messenger and his companions did at the Trench.

Emulating the acts of the Messenger and his companions.

وَكَفى بِنِيَّتِكَ الكَريمَة أَنَّها

وَكَفى بِنِيَّتِكَ الكَريمَة أَنَّها

تَهدِي السَّبيلَ بِنورِها المُتألِّقِ

تَهدِي السَّبيلَ بِنورِها المُتألِّقِ

And it is enough for your noble intention that it

It suffices that your noble intention

Shows the way with its radiant light.

Guides the way with its radiant light.

فأَكرِم بها من غَزوَةٍ مَنصورَةٍ

فأَكرِم بها من غَزوَةٍ مَنصورَةٍ

طلعت على الدنيا بوجهٍ مشرقِ

طلعت على الدنيا بوجهٍ مشرقِ

How noble, then, is this victorious campaign,

So honor it with a victorious raid

Which rose upon the world with a radiant face.

That dawns upon the world with a shining face.
