وسياسةٌ لِلمُلكِ كافلة

وسياسةٌ لِلمُلكِ كافلة

بالنجح في حل وفي عقدِ

بالنجح في حل وفي عقدِ

And statesmanship that assures the realm

success in loosening and in binding;

وعزيمةٌ في الحقِّ صادقةٌ

وعزيمةٌ في الحقِّ صادقةٌ

تَمضي مضاءَ الصارمِ الهندِي

تَمضي مضاءَ الصارمِ الهندِي

and a resolve sincere in the cause of truth,

that presses on with the keenness of an Indian sword.

فالخلقُ في أمنٍ وفي دِعَةٍ

فالخلقُ في أمنٍ وفي دِعَةٍ

والملك في نصرٍ وفي عَضدِ

والملك في نصرٍ وفي عَضدِ

Thus the people are in safety and ease,

and the king in victory and support;

والعدلُ قد عَمَّ الأنامَ فما

والعدلُ قد عَمَّ الأنامَ فما

تَخشَى البهائمُ صولةَ الأسدِ

تَخشَى البهائمُ صولةَ الأسدِ

and justice has embraced all humankind, so

the beasts do not fear the lion’s onslaught.
