وحسبك أن الروم رامت فشاهت

سعادة ملك تاه في أمرها العقلُ
And it is enough for you that the Romans tried and were disgraced—
It suffices you that Rome has harbored ambitions and perished,
A king's good fortune, at which reason was bewildered.
The fortune of a king got lost in its reasoning,
فإنكfor indeed you مهماwhatever رمتyou sought أمراan undertaking بلغتهyou attained it
فإنك مهما رمت أمرا بلغته
فابعدهso its farthest دانٍnear وأصعبهand its hardest سهلُeasy
فابعده دانٍ وأصعبه سهلُ
For whatever undertaking you seek, you attain it;
For however much you strive for a matter and attain it,
So its farthest reach is near, and its hardest part is easy.
Remove it from being close, for the most difficult is easy.
