  1. الراحُ تُفَّاحٌ جرى ذائباً

    كذلك التفاحُ راحٌ جَمد

    Wine is an apple melted and flowing;

    Likewise, the apple is wine that has congealed.

  2. فاشرب على جامده ذوبهُ

    ولا تدع لذَّة يومٍ لغد

    So drink its melted form with its solid form,

    And do not leave a day's pleasure for tomorrow.
