أصبحتُI have become منamong أُسراءِthe captives of اللَهGod مُحتسباًseeking His reward
أصبحتُ من أُسراءِ اللَه مُحتسباً
فيon الأرضthe earth نحوtoward قضاءِthe decree of اللَهGod والقَدَرِand destiny
في الأرض نحو قضاءِ اللَه والقَدَرِ
I have become one of God's captives, seeking His reward,
on earth, facing God's decree and destiny.
إنindeed الثمانينthe eighty years إذwhen وفَّيتI completed عدتهاtheir number
إن الثمانين إذ وفَّيت عدتها
لمdid not تُبقِleave باقيةًanything remaining منيof me ولمand did not تَذَرِspare
لم تُبقِ باقيةً مني ولم تَذَرِ
Indeed, the eighty years, once I had completed their full span,
left nothing of me remaining and spared nothing.
