A lover obtained his desire secretly
And the beloved helped him fulfill his desire.
And the beloved made him happy with his love

Frivolity squandered the most precious thing he strove for;
Wasted time ruins souls and what they suffer
And what excuse has one who squanders what mattered to him?
No excuse remains for those who waste time

من التقصير إنسان سواهُ
So now no one is blamed for what he committed—
So he is no longer blamed for his shortcomings
For that neglect—except himself.

He concealed his regret at laziness when
His eyes saw what his hands had done.
