فاحتطتُ للآجلِ بالعاجلِ

I asked you for a written endorsement on my petition,

I asked for your signature in my story

so I made provision for the future by acting now.

So I gave up the long-term for the short-term

وخِفتُ أن تُجريَ في قابِلٍ

وخِفتُ أن تُجريَ في قابِلٍ

وقّعْ فما تبقى الى قابِلِ

وقّعْ فما تبقى الى قابِلِ

And I feared you might carry it out next year;

And I feared you would put it off until later

Sign—for you will not survive until next year.

Sign it, for nothing remains until later
