His temple-locks curled, his glance wantonly assails
With a ring-curled temple-lock, his glance strikes in sport
all creation; jubilant, he laughs if you complain of love.
At people; gleeful, he laughs if you complain of love.
لاdo not تَعرِضَنّever approach لورَدٍtoward a rose فوقupon وجنتهhis cheek
لا تَعرِضَنّ لورَدٍ فوق وجنته

Never reach for the rose upon his cheek—
Never approach a rose upon his cheek,
his eye has set it there only as a snare.
For his eye has set it only as a snare.
