إذا جالسَ الفِتيانَ أَلفَيتَهُ فتىً

إذا جالسَ الفِتيانَ أَلفَيتَهُ فتىً

وجالسَ كهلَ النّاس أَلفيتَهُ كَهْلا

وجالسَ كهلَ النّاس أَلفيتَهُ كَهْلا

When he sits with young men, you find him a young man.

If he sits with the youth, you find him a youth,

And when he sits with the mature among men, you find him a mature man.

And if he sits with the elders, you find him an elder.
