منَ العِقْيانِ مخْلوقِ

And a full moon that never wanes,

With an uncrushed full moon

fashioned from pure gold.

Created from passion

إذا أُسْقيتُ فضلَتَهُ

إذا أُسْقيتُ فضلَتَهُ

مزجْتُ بريقِهِ ريقي

مزجْتُ بريقِهِ ريقي

When I was given his leavings to drink,

When I'm given its remains

I mingled my saliva with his.

I mix its saliva with my saliva

فيا لكَ عاشقاً يُسْقى

فيا لكَ عاشقاً يُسْقى

بقيَّةَ كاسِ مَعْشوقِ

بقيَّةَ كاسِ مَعْشوقِ

So, what a lover you are, given to drink

Oh, for a lover who drinks

the remainder of a beloved's cup!

بكيتُ لنأيِهِ عنِّي

بكيتُ لنأيِهِ عنِّي

ولا أبكي بتشْهيقِ

لمنزلةٍ بِها الأَفلا
