مجداً         وانك        المقدام

Go on, Abdulaziz! Your day is the day of ḍād,

O Abdulaziz, your day is the day of glory

a day of glory—and you are the dauntless one.

With honor, for you are the courageous one

شدتها   دولةً   بعزمك  تختال،

شدتها دولةً بعزمك تختال،

فداها      الأرواح     والأجسام

فداها الأرواح والأجسام

You built it into a state that strides proudly through your resolve;

You have strengthened the state with your determination

souls and bodies are its ransom.

Souls and bodies have been sacrificed for it

عززتها  السيوف  شرقاً وغرباً

عززتها السيوف شرقاً وغرباً

وأشادت      بذكرها     الأقلام

وأشادت بذكرها الأقلام

Swords strengthened it east and west,

Swords have empowered it in the East and West

and pens sang the praises of its name.

And pens have praised it in writing

وتَبَوَّأتَ    بين   قومك   عرشاً

وتَبَوَّأتَ بين قومك عرشاً

وشاده  العزم  والندى  والحسام

وشاده العزم والندى والحسام

You took your place on a throne among your people,

You have assumed the throne among your people

and resolve, generosity, and the keen sword built it.

Resolve, glory, and swords have built it

قد  أحاطت  به القلوب وراحت

قد أحاطت به القلوب وراحت

تتباهى        بودة        الأقوام

تتباهى بودة الأقوام

Hearts have encircled it, while

Hearts have surrounded it and found

the peoples have begun to glory in his affection.

Solace in the affection of the nations

فتقدم    بأمة   الضاد   وانهض

فتقدم بأمة الضاد وانهض

بلأمانيّ      فالتواني      حرام

بلأمانيّ فالتواني حرام

So lead the nation of ḍād forward, and rise

So move forward with the nation of glory and rise

with aspirations—for indolence is forbidden.

For the hopes - hesitation is forbidden
